Burlington, KY - Braden John Hermes, 27, of Burlington, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2025, leaving behind a community deeply impacted by his passion, energy, and devotion to his loved ones. Known for his love for football and his unwavering commitment to his daughter, Reagan, Braden's presence left a lasting imprint on all who crossed his path.

A graduate of Kelly Elementary, Camp Ernst Middle School, and Beechwood High School, Braden pursued his football dreams further at Georgetown College, where he played the sport he loved. Motivated by a desire to serve his community, he was working towards a career in public service, exploring roles as a firefighter, EMT, and police officer. Braden was a versatile individual, always eager to offer his support and dedication to those around him.

Coaching football brought Braden immense joy, particularly at Highlands High School and with the NKYFL Bandits. Dreaming of a future as a full-time football coach, he poured his heart and soul into every practice and game, sharing his passion for the sport with others. An ardent Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, Braden also cherished opportunities for golf and hunting trips.

Above all, Braden was a devoted father to his daughter, Reagan, whom he adored. He was a loving uncle, son, brother, and friend, always bringing laughter and love to those he cared about. His memory will be cherished by all who were touched by his infectious spirit.

Survived by his daughter Reagan; parents Jeff and Janet Hermes; siblings Jordan Lorenzen, Jennifer Lorenzen, and Kyle Hermes; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends, Braden leaves behind a legacy of love and joy.

A memorial visitation will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, followed by a Memorial Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to a memorial fund for Reagan, managed with care and transparency by her grandparents Jeff and Janet Hermes.
