St. Elizabeth Healthcare has appointed Dr. Latonya Brown as the Vice President Chief Quality Officer and Site Administrator for its Florence location. With 15 years of experience at St. Elizabeth, Dr. Brown aims to enhance care quality for the community.
In her new role, Dr. Brown will oversee system quality, patient safety, and experience, while managing daily administrative tasks at the Florence campus. The facility includes 204 patient beds and 15 operating rooms offering specialized services such as orthopedics, surgery, gastroenterology, endoscopy, and bariatric surgeries. In 2023 alone, it handled 118,000 outpatient visits and nearly 9,000 inpatient discharges.
Dr. Brown's career spans work as a Pulmonologist and Intensivist across all St. Elizabeth campuses. Her contributions include serving on the infectious disease response team during COVID-19 and holding various administrative roles like Critical Care Medical Director and Assistant Vice President of Medical Specialties.
“Dr. Brown has been a vital part of our medical team for over a decade,” said Vera Hall, Chief Operations Officer of St. Elizabeth Healthcare. “Her empathetic and attentive care embodies St. Elizabeth’s commitment to comprehensive and compassionate care."
Dr. Brown expressed her dedication to medicine: “My goal in entering medicine was to positively impact the world around me.” She looks forward to collaborating with physicians and patients at Florence Hospital.
