Boone County sets ticket sale date for annual senior picnic

Boone County has announced that tickets for the 2025 Senior Picnic will be available for purchase starting Monday, August 4 at 10 a.m. The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, September 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Boone County Fairgrounds.

This year’s picnic will have a "Fall Harvest" theme and aims to celebrate autumn. Tickets are priced at $6 per person and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tickets can be purchased at six locations: the Boone County Administration Building in Burlington, the Boone County Senior Center in Burlington, the Union City Building in Union, the Florence Government Center in Florence, the Florence Senior Center in Florence, and the Walton Senior Center in Walton.
