Richard J. Switzer Jr., Respected Sports Fan and Talented Artist, Dies at 83

Richard J. Switzer Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025 after battling Parkinson’s Disease. He is survived by his children Pam (Lou) Masur, Paula (Joe) DeZarn, Joey (Angie) Switzer, and Kristi (Jeremy) Arrasmith, along with grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Known for his dedication to the roofing industry, Richard enjoyed sports officiating, coaching, and attending his grandchildren's athletic events. An avid Cincinnati Reds, Georgetown College Baseball, UK Basketball, and Bengals fan, he was also admired for his artistic talents and love for ice-cold Pepsi.

A visitation will be held at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington location at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Village Care Center in Erlanger, KY.
