The St. Elizabeth Yung Family Cancer Center is marking its fifth anniversary this October by celebrating cancer survivors. The center, which opened five years ago, has focused on comprehensive care for patients, including programs such as cooking classes to help educate patients about the role of food in medicine.
Dr. Doug Flora, executive medical director at the center, stated that donations have enabled further investment in clinical trials. "The donation allows for investment in more cutting-edge clinical trials giving patients access to world class cancer care closer to home," said Dr. Flora.
