Former Cooper High School standout Emily Schmeltz played on Thursday, May 15 in hopes of reaching the NCAA Division II Softball Championship

On Thursday, May 15, former Cooper High School standout Emily Schmeltz’s current collegiate team the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals won 3-1 against the Indianapolis Greyhounds in the NCAA Division II Softball Championship.

The game took place at SVSU Softball Complex at 11 a.m. and was the first matchup against the Indianapolis Greyhounds in the tournament.

The Saginaw Valley State Cardinals’ next game will take place on Friday, May 16 at 11 a.m. at SVSU Softball Complex.
