Jan Steward, 72, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away on May 23, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on February 15, 1953, in Corbin, Kentucky, to Marion and Roxie (nee. Griffin) Sammons, Jan was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother.

Known for her deep love for family, Jan treasured every moment spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was a passionate fan of the UK Wildcats and delighted in attending craft shows. Jan is reunited in death with her parents, Marion and Roxie Sammons, and her siblings, LeFelse, Lynette, and Donna.

Jan is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Michael Steward, and their children: Michael Jr., Christopher, and Jaime, along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother David, nieces, extended family, and close friends who will miss her dearly. Her grand-dog, Trey Steward, held a special place in her heart.

A visitation for Jan will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, followed by a service. The burial and graveside service will take place on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
