Burlington, KY - Lois Skidmore, aged 82, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Born on February 2, 1943, to the late Louis and Ella LaWarre, Lois dedicated nearly 25 years of her life as a teacher’s aide at Kelly Elementary, making a lasting impact on the lives of many students.

A devout member of Belleview Baptist Church, Lois demonstrated her commitment to service through volunteer work at the Food Pantry in Hebron. Finding joy in life's simple pleasures, she cherished moments spent at the YMCA with friends, leisurely walks in the park with her adored dog, Annie, and tending to her vibrant flower garden. Known for her welcoming home, Lois delighted in nurturing a haven for hummingbirds and baking her treasured butter cookies to share with loved ones during special occasions.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Skidmore, son Eric Skidmore, and brother Bill LaWarre, Lois is survived by her children Lee Ann (Andy) Wichmann and Jon (Debbie) Skidmore, and grandchildren Jake Wichmann, Jessica Skidmore, and Jillian Skidmore. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and cherished family and friends whose hearts she touched deeply.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 12:00 PM at Belleview Baptist Church, with burial following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Voice of the Martyrs or to Belleview Baptist Church in honor of Lois’s legacy of service and kindness.
