Luisa Reyes, 61, a Lover of ’80s Rock and Dedicated Community Member, Remembered with Love

Luisa Reyes, aged 61, passed away on May 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of joy, laughter, and deep love. Born in Havana, Cuba, on June 21, 1963, Luisa's life was filled with a passion for '80s classic rock, with Cinderella being her favorite band that she fervently followed to more than a dozen live concerts.

An ardent music fan, Luisa's dedication to her musical interests even led her to security jobs in her youth to be closer to the performances she cherished. Her love for music was paralleled by the radiance of her warm personality and humor, endearing herself to coworkers and customers during her time at Raising Cane’s in Florence, Kentucky.

Survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Shane Devlin, her beloved son, Dakota Devlin, her sister, Nilda Rahman, and niece, Adlin Sukhwani, Luisa's presence in the lives of her loved ones was accompanied by the companionship of her treasured cats, Hanson and Hemmingway. She was predeceased by her parents, Domingo and Herminia Reyes, and her brother, Gerardo Paz.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Linnemann Funeral Homes -Burlington Location (1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005), with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a time of shared memories and reflections in honor of Luisa's vibrant spirit and enduring love.

Luisa’s vibrant personality, unwavering dedication to her passions, and profound impact in her community will continue to be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
