Baseball equipment donated to schools by St. Elizabeth Healthcare and partners

St. Elizabeth Healthcare, the Reds Community Fund, and Pitch In For Baseball & Softball (PIFBS) are set to donate $57,500 worth of baseball and softball equipment to 21 high schools and three youth organizations in Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana, and Southwest Ohio. The donation event will take place on Thursday, January 25, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Griffin Elite Sports & Wellness in Erlanger.

The schools benefiting from this initiative include Augusta, Bellevue, Boone County, Campbell County, Dayton, Dixie Heights, Gallatin County, Grant County, Holmes, Holy Cross, Lloyd Memorial, Ludlow, Milan, Newport Central Catholic, Newport High School Pendleton County Rising Sun Scott South Ripley Switzerland County Taylor High Schools. The youth organizations involved are Ludlow Athletic Club Bellevue Vets Grant County Little League.

This marks the eighth year of collaboration between St. Elizabeth Healthcare and the Reds Community Fund with PIFBS. The partnership aims to support baseball and softball programs as they prepare for the upcoming 2024 season by eliminating equipment barriers for student-athletes.

Athletic directors along with head coaches and student-athletes from each participating school and organization will be present at the event to receive their equipment donations.

St. Elizabeth Healthcare has matched the contribution made by the Reds Community Fund to assist these schools and organizations through PIFBS.

Pitch In For Baseball & Softball is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing necessary sports equipment to underprivileged children both in the United States and globally for nearly two decades. Their efforts have extended beyond Kentucky with similar partnerships in cities like Philadelphia Chicago Detroit Bronx Twin Cities.
