Enrollment at Burlington Elementary School decreased by 0.4% in 2022-23 school year

There were 743 students enrolled in Burlington Elementary School during the 2022-23 school year, 0.4% fewer than the previous year's 746 students, according to the Kentucky Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 51.8% of them were boys, and 48.2% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 79.7% of the Burlington Elementary School total enrollment.

The school is located in Boone County School District with a central office in Florence.

In total, there were 685,401 students enrolled in Kentucky during the 2022-23 school year.

Kentucky is in the midst of a statewide teacher shortage as turnover rates spiked to 10.9% in 2023, up from an 8.9% nine-year average. This issue is more prominent in schools with more low-income and minority students.
